Keonjhar, May 13: A trapped three-year old boy was saved from a house in Nuapatra sahi slum in Anandpur, the place where he was found having his legs and hands tied. Reportedly, the boy had been allegedly locked up by his parents. Based on complaint filed by the locals yesterday, the Childline officials rescued him today.

It so happened that the boy hesitated to stay with his parents because he was being ill-treated by them. He was tortured by his stepmother, Boby Mukhi. The boy’s father, Rajendra Patra had married Boby after his first wife Savitri separated from him two years back.

Childline official Bhagirathi Das stated to media that they received a call from the locals saying that a minor boy has been locked up in a room with his hands and legs tied up using a plastic rope. The boy without getting adequate care and attention from parents was forced to spend bulk of time outside.
