Bhubaneswar, Apr 6: The Odisha government has decided to release 33 prisoners serving life terms in various jails in Odisha following approval of the the State Sentence Review Board based on the jail inmates’ behaviour and conduct during their stay in the jail. The released prisoners include ones of Biju Patnaik open air (ashram) jail in Jamujhari and Jharpara Jail in Bhubaneswar and also from jails in Sundergarh, Balasore, Bolangir, Choudwar, Baripada, Puri and Jajpur. Seven prisoners have been released from Biju Patnaik open air (ashram) jail in Jamujhari.
