Boudh, Jan 13: Villagers at the Guchhaguda village here got panicked late last night as some youths belonging to Mansaguda fired twice at a person and injured him critically during the Pusa Puni Yatra. The name of the victim is Ekadusia Mahakuda. He got severe injuries in head and hand firstly because of the firing and also due to an alleged slashing with a sharp weapon. Immediately, the victim was taken to the Sonepur headquarters hospital for treatment but as his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the Burla hospital. However, the culprit who had fired on Mahakuda, that too in presence of police personnel, are still to be nabbed.
