Bhawanipatna, Jan 14: Last night a person died in a road accident at Kashibahal which erupted into the halting of transportation on the Bhawanipatna-Dharmagarh highway in Kalahandi today as locals here blocked roads in protest of the accident. The irate locals staged road block by keeping the corpse on the road. Their demand was compensation to the family of the deceased. However, the cops arrived at the spot and tired to calm down the situation.
Notably, yesterday night, a person named Rabi Narayan Jena was hit by a truck carrying PDS rice at Kashibahal under Dharmagarh police limits. He died on his way to the hospital.
