Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: Yesterday the Odisha government conducted a minor reshuffle in the senior IAS cadre and appointed Rajesh Verma as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister.
Rajesh Verma is the Odisha cadre IAS officer of 1987 batch. He has been elected in place of UN Behera who has now become the chairman of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC). Prior to this, Verma was the Principal Secretary, Energy. Also 1995 batch IAS officer and CMD, Grid Corporation of Odisha and Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (OPTCL), Hemant Sharma is given additional charge of Energy.
