Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: In a meeting last evening chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat, 10 developmental proposals were approved by the cabinet.
As of sources, the Cabinet approved the proposal for amendment of Sales tax and VAT rules, given by the finance department. the meeting also took an aggressive decision stating that the state government will remain the guarantor for the loan given to Aska Sugar Mill.
In another proposal approved by the Cabinet, given by the water department on compensation towards acquisition of land for irrigation project, says that, everyone in a village is designated to a compensation, if 75% of the government land in their village is acquired for irrigation projects.
