So far, India has reported 4,033 cases of Omicron Variant of Covid-19. As reported by Health & Family Welfare Department of Government Of India, 1,552 persons have already recovered from the disease.

Omicron cases have been found in 27 States/UTs of the Country till date.

Maharashtra registered highest cases i.e.1216 so far, followed by Rajasthan 529, Delhi 513, Karnataka 441, Kerala 333, Gujarat 326, Tamilnadu 185, Haryana 123, Telangana 123, Uttar Pradesh 113, Odisha 103, Andhra Pradesh 28, Punjab 27, West Bengal 27, Goa 19, Madhya Pradesh 10, Assam 9, Uttarakhand 8, Meghalaya 4, A & N Islands 3, Chandigarh 3, J & K (UT) 3, Puducherry 2, Chandigarh 1, Himachal Pradesh 1, Ladakh 1 and Manipur 1.

On the other side, India is witnessing rapid growth of Covid-19 cases since last few days and today, it has reported 1,79,723 fresh cases.

46,569 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,45,00,172.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 96.62%.

India’s Active Caseload is presently at 7,23,619. Active cases constitute 2.03% of the country’s total Positive Cases.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 13,52,717 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 69.15 Cr (69,15,75,352) cumulative tests.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 7.92% and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 13.29%.
