Though, Non-Government College Lecturers are rigid to boycott the Process of Evaluation of +2 Examination answer scripts, Government is clear on its stand and begins the process as scheduled. The First Phase of Evaluation will be held from April 4-13 and for which, CHSE has engaged about 15000 teachers. The striking teachers held their ground to boycott the process of Evaluation over their demands which include among others, full grant-in-aid and withdrawal of block grant. On the other side, Government has warned the agitating Lecturers of stern action if they go ahead with the boycott and also, accordingly, it has made alternative arrangements for the evaluation of Papers like engaging the retired Lecturers in the process.

CHSE Chairman Basudev Chhatoi said, ‘If the teachers remain away from the Evaluation Process, we will request the retired Lecturers to do the evaluation work.’ Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahy also has urged the striking Lecturers to join the duty keeping the Students’ greater interest in mind.
