Bhubaneswar, April 13: In a major advice to the State Government, the Odisha Small Industries Association (OSIA) has urged it to use pre-fabricated houses for construction through Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana.
As the Government has given green signal to the suggestion very soon 344 model houses are being planned to be constructed all across the 30 districts.
OSIA president Deepak Kajaria said they have suggested their views on the project to the Panchayati Raj Department, while it would construct 344 model houses through OSI Corporation in first phase.
Throughout 30 district headquarters and 314 blocks these model house would be completed in month of May. The beneficiaries of Biju Pucca Ghar can easily learn from these model houses, said Kajaria.
Notably, the houses to be constructed on an estimated area of 250 square feet, with an estimated value (excluding tax) as Rs. 1.10 lakhs. Some agencies will be appointed for the construction purposes, which will ensure at least three houses to be completed on per day basis. He also said the model houses will also be insured for 25 years.
