Bhubaneswar, April 21: An associate of the gangster Dhalasamant brothers, Aarif Khan was taken to the Khuntakata farm house of the gangsters in Athagarh and interrogated by the Commissionerate Police there Wednesday in connection with the murder of two former associates Omm and Dipu.
A forensic science team also searched for any clues to the murders, they added.
Dipu and Omm were reportedly beaten to death at the farm house of one Nirmal Rout and the bodies disposed off in Jharkhand.
Khan was arrested by the Commissionerate Police from Madurai in Tamil Nadu with the help of their Tamil Nadu counter parts on April 14. Aarif is a resident of Kafla Bazar in Cuttack.
Meanwhile, the bail plea of three associates of the notorious D-brothers was rejected by the Sub -Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court in Cuttack on Wednesday.
Bail plea of Mangu Bastia, Samirkant Sharma and Prakash Behera were rejected by the Cuttack SDJM.
The trio has been arrested by the Commissionerate Police for being involved in criminal activities like tender fixing and extortion, said sources.
