New Delhi: May 03: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had approved the recommendations made by the Parliamentary panel which recommends pay hike of Member of Parliaments and submitted to PMO office on last Thursday.
Sources said, Panel recommended for hundred per cent hike in salary, which will take the salary of MPs from 50000 to I lakh. The Panel also recommended doubling the constituency allowance and secretarial assistance from 45000 to 90000 per month.
Parliamentary Panel also suggested increasing the furniture allowance as well as installation of BSNL Broadband at their official residence for Rs.1700 per month.
The Parliamentary Panel was headed by BJP member Yogi Adityanath.
