Permanent repair strategy of Jagmohan; steel pillars and box frames for secure Jagmohan

Bhubaneswar, July 29: The Union Culture Secretary has framed a permanent repair plan for Jagmohan in a meeting held at New Delhi. At this meeting, it has decided that, to secure Jagmohan, the chamber facing the Sanctum Sanctorum of Sri Jagannath Temple, steel pillars and box frames would be used. It’s been informed by Prasanna kumar Hota, administrator of Sri Jagannath Temple.

Extra Steel pillars would be provided to support the existing pillars of the Jagmohan, sources said. The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has instructed not to dig foundation for the repair work of Jagmohan, Hota informed to newspersons. Adding to it, he said that, for support of the four pillars of Jagmohan, extra steel pillars would be constructed and portal box frames would be made to cover all the beams.
