Boudh, July 30: After the brutal attack on BJP activists by BJD workers, while showing black flag to Food Supply minister Sanjay Dasburma at Manamunda in Boudh district, the annoyed BJP workers on Saturday staged Dharnas before the offices of District Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP). The activists formed a picket in front of government offices all around the district. It’s decided that the BJP group of MLAs Rabi Nayak and Pradip Purohit, state vice president Samir Mohanty and general secretary Bhrugu Buxipatra will be visiting the area. The team will be led by the newly made leader of BJP Legislature Party, KV Singhdeo.

Notably, in a thumping exhibit of disturbance, BJP activists were thrashed by Prasant Kumar Jagdev, Begunia MLA and his supporters while showing black flag to Food Supply Minister and Youth President, Sanjay Dasburma at Manamunda in Boudh while he was on his way to attend a protest rally for Mahanadi incident organized by the Youth wing of BJD.

According to sources, while Burma was on his way to attend a rally, some BJP workers had come out on the road for showing black flag. Suddenly, BJD legislator, who was accompanying him, stopped there and attacked the BJB workers though the police were present there. It was also noticed that the BJD MLA and other party leaders beat up BJP workers and even kicked them on their face. Following this gruesome attack, the Boudh district president of BJP, Yuva Morcha sued a complaint against the five BJD members; they were Ministers Pushpendra Singhdeo and Sanjay Dasburma, MLA Prashant Jagdev, corporators Amaresh Jena and youth wing leader Bijay Nayak at the Manamunda police station.
