Bhubaneswar, Aug 8: Hundreds of Students Congress activists took out a bike rally from the Congress Bhawan, demanding the arrest of Panchayati Raj and Law minister Arun Sahu and Housing and Urban Development minister Pushpendra Singhdeo, for their alleged links with the arrested fake gazette notification scam accused Motilal Gouda.
The Police blocked the activists near AG Square while they were on their way to the official residence of Sahu, which resulted into a scuffle between the police and the activists. The effigies of the two ministers were also burnt by the agitators.
After the scuffle, Police detained Itish Pradhan, President of Student Congress and some activists.
Pradhan said with assurance that Arun Sahu would not be allowed to enter the State Assembly premises. The Students Congress has also put forward the demand for the immediate arrest of the two ministers and BJD MLA Byomokesh Ray, alleging them of receiving huge amount of money from Motilal Gouda.
