Bhubaneswar, Sep 3: Yesterday the BJP of the state made an announcement that it will field candidates across all panchayats and zilla parishad zones in the state in the upcoming panchayat polls which is said to happen in February 2017.
This decision was been taken in a high level meeting conducted by the BJP Election Management Committee held at a hotel here. Further, the party has already announced that it will form ‘Power Centers’ across all panchayats in the state and ‘BJP Booth Committees’ at the village level to garner strength for the upcoming panchayat polls. The Key aspect of the party will be to look into the failures of the ongoing BJD in fulfilling its said promises.
This was informed to the media after the meeting by the state unit Vice President, Samir Mohanty. Much attention will be paid to the incident of Dana Majhi, shortage of doctors in hospitals, lack of employees across several department, failing educational and health systems and issues of teachers. Besides, steps will be initiated by the party to take the social welfare schemes of the Union Government to the people of the extreme remote areas.
Notably, on Aug 6 this party formed a 16-member committee and tasked it with leading the polls in the state.
