Bhubaneswar: September 04: Political Parties start planning to face the upcoming Panchayat Election of the state to be held in next calendar year. BJD Supremo met with leaders and observers of five organisational districts Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir, Balasore and Bhadrak today to develop strategy for the Panchayat Polls. In this brainstorming session, MPs, MLAs, leaders and observers of the five organisational districts participated and discussed to develop a blueprint for the election.Sources said, ‘Party Supremo asked the participants to ensure its presence at the grass root levels. BJD shall mostly depend on the success of welfare schemes launched in the state.
BJP state unit has already started its planning to counter their opponents in the upcoming polls. On Friday, in its election management committee meeting, BJP decided to field candidates across all panchayats and Zilla Parishad Zones.
