Chit Fund Scam: CBI submits seized materials to Court; under JMFC orders

Bhubaneswar, Sep 15: Yesterday the Odisha CBI here sent around 40 seized laptops, several hard disks, pen drives and compact discs acquired from the Ponzi firm Artha Tatwa (AT Group) to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Hyderabad for examination. It did this under the orders of the JMFC Court. It’s stated that these seized computers and memory devices have in store the details about the Ponzi firm’s secret monetary dealings with politicians and transaction series. More than 10 CBI officers submitted the seized materials to the court within tight security. The Kharvela Nagar police took hold of these materials after the arrest of AT Group chief Pradip Sethi and had later handed over to the CBI after the investigation of the chit fund scam was taken over by the latter on orders from the Supreme Court.
