Rs. 40 lakh looted from a bank in Bargarh, Odisha

Bargarh, Sept 20; Last night, Rs 40 lakh was allegedly looted from Bank of Baroda, Bhatli branch in Bargarh district by unidentified miscreants.

As per sources, the bank had shifted to a different location three days ago but the strong room of the bank was yet to be shifted to that new location. Also, the police was not informed by the bank authorities about the shifting of the bank.

Reportedly, the miscreants smashed the window and entered into the bank. Later, they broke the strong room and looted 40 lakhs.

A complaint has been lodged by the bank manager with Bargarh police.

An investigation has been initiated by the police along with a scientific team.
