Bhubaneswar: September 29: Due to the strike by Bus Owners’ Associations, 18000 buses and passenger carrying vehicles stay off road today.

As announced, the Buses will stay off roads from 6 am of September 29 to 6 am of September 30 protesting the arrest of a Bus owner which met an accident near Manitri of Athmallick in Angul district on September 9 causing death of 19 persons.

The association has also threatened to go for a strike for indefinite period from October 7 if the owner of the Bus will not be released immediately. The State truck association has also extended its moral support to the strike called by Private Bus Owners’ Association.

Normal life looks disrupted across Odisha.
