Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: Odisha swimmer Pratyasha Ray on Saturday has bagged two more gold medals in South Asian Aquatic Championship (SAAC)-2016 held at Colombo.
Before this on October 19, in the 50 metres backstroke swimming category, Pratysaha bagged the second place and cornered one silver and two gold medals in 4x100m relay and 4x100m mixed relay event.
This event organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU), began on Tuesday and will continue till 23rd October.
In this event, seven SAARC countries, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and Nepal have taken part.
It may be noted that, in 2016, Pratyasha also earned the tag as the first Odia swimmer to win a medal at national level.
In July, at the 43rd National Aquatic Championship which was held at Bangalore’s Basavangudi Aquatic Centre, Pratyasha registered three gold medals in her name in 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke swimming category.
