Jajpur, Nov 26: Yesterday Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik put the foundation stone for the construction of a road which would connect Nagada with Ashokjharu, both rich in mineral here. On the contrary on a recent case, Nagada has been in the headlines for the continuous child deaths due to malnutrition. However, the foundation stone laid in Kaliapani, costs about Rs 13 crore.
A resident of Nagada said that after government’s attention and intervention, drinking water and food facilities have been started in Nagada and this road will also be of a great help for transportation. Apart from this, the CM also laid foundation stone for a girls’ hostel to be built at a cost of Rs 7 crore near Deogaon. A slew of developmental projects worth Rs 260 crore in the region were also inaugurated.
On the other hand, Congress activists waved black flags ahead of the CM’s visit thus protesting for the same. Around 52 persons had been detained by the cops.
