Bus accident in Soro, Odisha kills 1 giving injuries to 15 others on Friday night

Soro, Nov 26: In a tragic incident, one person was killed and 15 others sustained injuries after a private bus in which they were travelling lost control and hit a stone-laden dumper on National Highway-5 at Khantapada in Balasore district late on Friday night. The incident took place around 2.30 am while the bus with around 30 passengers in it was on its way to Baripada from Bhubaneswar.

The ill-fated bus lost control and hit a stone-laden dumper from its backside causing death of a passenger on the spot leaving 15 others injured. Out of the 15 injured, condition of three injured persons is stated to be critical. While the three critically injured persons have been shifted to Cuttack, the others have been admitted to Balasore hospital.

Sub-inspector of Khantapada police station informed that all the passengers of the bus had been rescued through the bus window shields and were hospitalized at the Balasore hospital, taken in an ambulance. On the other hand, the bus and the dumper have been seized.
