Nov 26: Day 1 of the 3rd test match between Indian and England cooked up well for India when England lost 3 of its wickets in 51.

England won the toss and elected to bat first. In the first two hours of the game, England had already lost 4 of its wickets including Hameed, Root, Cook and Mo Ali giving Yadav, Ashwin, Umesh and Shami one wicket each.

Expecting the ball to bounce normally after pitching on a good length area, suddenly, the ball spits like a cobra from this Mohali wicket and raps Hameed on the glove and was caught by Rahane. But the Umpire wasn’t so confident and waited for the batsman to walk off and didn’t raise his finger.

Cook came of well, and by time was one of the luckiest men in Punjab as first Jadeja dropped him off in the slips and now Ashwin. But no worries as Ashwin in his next over took Cook off the field at 27, caught by Parthiv.

Roots Wicket was so plumb that he walks of the field after the LBW.

Smiles on the team faces and celebrations were seen before lunch on the dismissal of the fourth wicket Moeen, who was caught by Vijay.

Bairstow and Buttler’s partnership showed England the sight after 200’s but wickets fell on and England ended the day at stumps with 268/8, giving Umesh, Jayant, and Jadeja 2 wickets each while Shami and Ashwin grab one each.
