Kandhamal, Dec 10: For the first time the tribal youth here will be especially trained for the Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary examination which is to be held in the first week of Jan, 2017.
The Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDA) of Phulbani and Balgudi are spending Rs 6 lakh on providing pre-recruitment training to 100 aspirants. The examinees, including 53 girls, have been studying in special classes at Phulbani since last Wednesday. These classes are free of cost and will go on for a month. Also they have been provided with lodging and boarding facilities, study materials like guidebooks for reference. For the online test, examinees are being trained on computers in the laboratory of the polytechnic in Phulbani. 40 Lecturers of different colleges and bankers have been selected to train them, thus the main objective being to give students jobs in different posts across the districts. The aspirants upon cracking the SSC’s CHSL exam can be appointed for sorting assistant, lower division clerk, data entry operator and court clerk. The examinees will be trained in quantitative aptitude, general intelligence, English language and general awareness by respective field experts. Earlier also, the district administration had asked for applications from candidates to appear in the screening test for selection to the free training lessons in which 627 candidates had applied. This was informed to the press by Ramesh Chandra Behera, Baliguda project administrator of the ITDA.
