Bhubaneswar: Feb 27: As per the Panchayat Poll result-2017, BJD has secured majority in 16 districts whereas the BJP got a clear mandate in 8 districts.
The Congress could secure majority only in Jharsuguda district. BJD got majority in Jajpur, Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Puri. BJP will form ZP Councils in Bargarh, Bolangir, Deogarh, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur and Subarnapur districts. Picture of rest 5 districts like Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal and Sundergarh districts is yet to be clear as nobody has got a clear mandate in these districts.
