Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: Veteran actress Kirron Kher is one such lady in B-town who is always in lime light for her enigmatic charm and magical weaves of traditional saree, jewellery and big elegant smile. The bollywood actress graced Mehers’ Handloom Showroom at Janpath, Bhubaneswar on Sunday during her Odisha visit. This woman has her style quotient at an all time high. And today, even Odisha’s traditional Sambalpuri sarees got added to her enviable collection of sarees that includes everything from Kanjeevarams, Patolas, Uppadas to Maheshwaris. She got mesmerized with the vibrant hues and the distinct handloom works by weavers of Odisha in sambalpuri sarees. Taking special interest in hand woven Sambalpuri Ikkat saree, she picked up various exclusive designer Ikkat sarees including natural coloured sarees and dress materials and stoles, from wide collection of traditional Tassar saree with tribal print, Sambalpuri Ikkat saree, Odishi Tasar saree available at the Mehers’ showroom.
During her visit to Mehers’, she was impressed with the designs and exclusive collections of traditional designer hand printed sarees with Sambalpuri pattern and as well as Ikkat and Odissi Tassar sarees at the grand showroom at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She applauded the Meher’s showroom staff, who took her through the selection of the sarees.
“Nothing spells heritage and tradition more than a handloom saree like Sambalpuri. Nothing matches its elegance,” said Mrs. Kirron Kher during her visit to the showroom. She has also written in the visitor’s book of the showroom with the quote “Impressive collections, wonderful sarees and helpful staffs”.
Mehers’ is promoting the famous exclusive design and unique style of Odissi Saree and traditional handloom sarees which have earned worldwide repute for their unique weaving.
