Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: In a tragic incident, a youth belonging to Behere Sahi in Tamando was shot dead last evening by at least five persons from a close range. Identified as Abhijit Behera aka Sipu, the deceased was soon rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but he died while undergoing treatment.
The police suspect the murder as an outcome of a past enmity.
As of reports, Police have identified the evil, as Bishnu Charan Patnaik from Aska and his brother. The accused who are on a run, notably had an argument with the deceased on the Holi day, and later went to to fight, but was soon compromised in the presence of the locals.
In the meanwhile, police on the spot has seized the deceased’s bike along with empty bullet cell / cartridges.
