Rourkela, Mar 18: In view of the major accident that occurred yesterday when a dumper crashed into an auto rickshaw carrying children, where 3 students died along with the driver died on spot and 9 other were critically injured, the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the family of the deceased. Besides the government will bear all the medical expenses for the treatment of the injured.

The injured children are being treated at the IGH Medical at Rourkela.

Notably the auto rickshaw was carrying 13 students, which was beyond its carrying capacity. Meanwhile, concerns about small vehicles carrying school children, have been raised after the major accident that took place yesterday.
