Bhubaneswar, Mar 27: Confirming Odisha as the main sponsor for the men’s hockey World League Final 2017 and World Cup 2018, the International Hockey Federation along with Odisha government today confirmed that Odisha will host the men’s hockey World League Final 2017 and the Hockey World Cup 2018 at Bhubaneswar.
India being a nation with some awesome histories with the game, finally, the Hockey fans will get a chance to cheer some unforgettable events and share the fame of two of Hockey’s biggest events in Odisha, where the champions of the two events will be crowned. Not only the crowd, even the ones’ involved will also truly feel an unforgettable experience that will be held at Bhubaneswar, said Jason McCracken, CEO, FIH.
Commenting on the growth, FIH President, Dhruv Batra said, Bhubaneswar is not only a place of Beautiful monuments, but is also a place for passionate sports lovers. “We call upon the game’s biggest fans across the world to come together and share the fame where the champions of both the biggest events of Hockey will be crowned, he added.
