Bhubaneswar, May 5: On Thursday, Odisha CM cleared all speculations regarding the re-shuffling of his ministry. He said that the expansion-cum-reshuffle of cabinet could happen anytime. It may be apprehended that this decleration has been brought about as counter strike to BJP’s plans to get into the BJD bastions in state. Asking about whether he would rule out a ministry reshuffle, he said a no. A major expansion of the ministry will take place for the first time since Patnaik’s fourth session as the Odisha CM. Speculations about re-shuffle were going on post BJD’s not so good performance at the Panchayat Polls. As per high official sources, it is stated that young and highly powerful ministers may be roped in to re-structure the party from its roots. These names may be from the young lot such as Pranab Prakash Das, Arun Sahoo, Sanjay Dasburma and veteran Debi Mishra replacing several passive ministers such as Kalahari Himirika, Jogendra Behera, Snehangini Churia, Sudam Marandi and Puspendra Singhdeo. Speaker Niranjan Pujari may also return in the ministry after a long time. Senior leaders Raghunath Mohanty and Panchanan Kanungo are also apprehended to secure a post in the ministry. The re-shuffle is supposedly scheduled to take place next week once Governor Dr. SC Jamir returns back from vacation.
