Bhubaneswar, May 17: Yesterday the State Youth Congress unit organised the ‘Yuva Adhikar Samabesh’ at the Lower PMG Square here thus demanding jobs for the unemployed youths in Odisha. Akhil Bharatiya Youth Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Brar blamed and lashed out at both the Centre and the State government for lack of employment opportunities in Odisha, at the protest march. They also demanded that the money must be returned to those duped investors in various chit fund scams. BJD too questioned the efforts of the Centre to create job opportunities for the youth. Senior Congress leader Suresh Routray, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief Prasad Harichandan, Opposition chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati, AICC secretary Bhakta Das, former MP Pradeep Majhi, Sarat Pattnaik also attended the march. Around 40 activists were detained for attempting to break the police barricade during the protest march.
