Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flaged off the extension of train and launched passenger amenities

Bhubaneswar: August 12: Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Union  Minister of Railways flagged off the extension of Rourkela-Jammu Tawi-Rourkela Express up to Sambalpur through video conferencing from Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, today. Shri Prabhu also launched free Wi-Fi services at Palasa & Srikakulam Station and inaugurated Passenger’s Waiting Room & Dormitories at Parvatipuram Station under East Coast Railway jurisdiction.

Member of Parliaments, Shri Nagendra Kumar Pradhan, Dr. Prabhas Kumar Singh and  MLAs Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi & Rabinarayan Naik were present at Sambalpur Station as distinguished guests.

Distinguished Guest MLA Shri Gouthu Syam Sunder Sivaji was present at Palasa Station on this occasion.

On the inaugural run, the train left as a special train from Sambalpur Station towards Jammu Tawi at about 1130hrs (11.30A.M). However, the regular service in the extended portion will be commenced from 13thAugust, 2017 as per the schedule.
