India’s COVID-19 cases reach 28,380; Death toll stands at 886

Bhubaneswar: April 27:  As per the latest information by Health Department, Total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India rose to 28,380. Out of which, 6361 persons have cured and death toll stands at 886. At present, India has 21,132 active cases.

In last 24 hours, 1396 new coronavirus cases have been reported in India.

A total 381 people have recovered in the past day and recovery rate now stands at 22.17%.

Total number of cases in Maharashtra rose to 8068, followed by Gujarat (3301  ), Delhi (2918), Rajasthan(2185), Tamilnadu (1885), Madhya Pradesh(2168), Uttar Pradesh (1955) and Telengana with 1002 COVID-19 patients.

Andhra Pradesh has 1177 confirmed covid-19 cases whereas Karnataka and Kerala have 511 and 469 cases respectively.

16 Districts in the country, which earlier had cases, have not reported any fresh cases since the last 28 days.

2 districts have now shown fresh cases, which earlier did not have any fresh case in last 28 days and those are Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in Punjab. Further, a total of 85 districts from (25 States/UT) have not reported any new cases since the last 14 days.
