Accident in Auraiya District of UP; 24 migrant labourers lost their lives:

New Delhi: May 16: In a tragic incident, Truck carrying migrant labourers met a major accident today in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh early on Saturday. Sources said, around 24 people were killed and few more were injured in the incident. Truck which was coming from Rajasthan with more than 50 migrant labourers collided with another vehicle coming from Delhi in Auraiya district’s Mihauli area.

As reported, most of the people coming by the Truck are from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has directed that all the injured must be provided with medical care immediately. Also, he has ordered a probe into the incident.

Many such incidents are occurring as thousands of people  have been moving to their homes from their working places due to lock down observed to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives due to the road accident in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh.
