Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: August 02: The number of people getting infected with Coronavirus is on the rise in the state. Another 1,434 corona positive cases have been identified from the state today. Of this, 889 cases were in quarantine, while 545 are local contact cases. As reported by Information and Public Relations Department, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state, including today’s 1,434 cases, reached 34,913 on Saturday.

Of the cases reported on Sunday, 9 are from Anugul, 12 from Balasore, 5 from Bargarh, 25 from Bhadrak, 5 from Boudh, 123 from Cuttack, 2 from Deogarh, 13 from Dhenkanal, 91 from Gajapati,  and 320 from Ganjam, 13 from Jagatsinghpur, 57 from Jajpur, 6 from Jharsuguda, 18 from Kalahandi, 44 from Kandhamal, 22 from Kendrapara, 2 from Keonjhar, 218 from Khurda, 12 from Koraput, 24 from Malkangiri, 1 from Mayurbhanj, 2 from Nabarangpur, 8 from Nayagarh, 7 from Nuapada, 65 from Puri, 197 from Rayagada, 51 from Sambalpur, 6 from Sonepur and 76 from Sundergarh.

As per Health & Family Welfare Department’s Dashboard, 5,63,318 samples have been tested from the state till date and out of that, 34,913 cases were found Positive. Also, as informed, on Saturday,  14,608 samples have been tested.

So far,  21,274 persons have recovered from the disease and 197 patients died of COVID-19. To date, 13,403 people are being treated in the State.

Also, 39 COVID-19 Positive patients have died of other illnesses.
