Bhubaneswar: August 10: India recorded 62,064 new COVID Positive cases and 1007 deaths in last 24 hours. With this, total positive cases in the Country increased to 22,15,074 and the death toll rose to 44,386.
As per the information provided in Health Ministry’s dashboard, 6,34,945 active cases are there in the Country.
In last 24 hours, 54,859 patients have recovered and discharged, pushing country’s total number of recovered cases to 15,35,743. With this, recovery rate improved further to 69.33 per cent.
Among States, Maharashtra remained the worst-hit State so far. It has more than a half-million cases till date (5,15,332) and also 17,757 people succumbed to the disease so far in the State, which is again highest among States.
Tamilnadu remains in second position with 2,96,901 COVID Positive cases as on today with 4,927 deaths. Another South Indian State Andhra Pradesh reported 2,27,860 cases in total with 2,036 deaths. Cases in Karnataka is also growing rapidly. It has 1,78,087 cases so far and 3,198 persons have died in the State due the infection.
Besides, Delhi recorded 1,45,427 cases with 4,111 deaths and Uttar Pradesh has also crossed the one-lakh mark with 1,22,609 cases so far.
