Bhubaneswar: September 18: India recorded 96,424 new COVID-19 cases and 1,174 deaths due to the infection in last 24 hours.
Total cases in India increased to 52,14,677, as informed by Health Ministry.
Also, the the death toll in the Country due to the pandemic rose to 84,372 on Friday. According to the data of MoH & FW, the fatality rate has reached to 1.62 per cent.
In last 24 hours, 87,472 patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total recoveries in the Country to 41,12,551. The recovery rate has improved further to 78.86 per cent.
Out of the total 52,14,677 cases, 10,17,754 cases are active, Health Ministry’s data said.
As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 10,06,615 samples were tested on Thursday and till 17th September, 6,15,72,343 samples have been tested.
