Bhubaneswar: September 18: Odisha registered 4,180 new Corona Positive cases in last 24 hours. Out of which, 2,466 people were in quarantine and rest 1,714 are local contact cases. Total number of cases in the State increased to 1,71,341.
According to Health & Family Welfare Department, Khurda recorded 688 new cases in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack 492 cases, Jajpur 184 cases, Puri & Sundergarh 166 cases each, Mayurbhanj 163 cases, Rayagada 160 cases, Angul 155 cases, Balasore 133 cases, Sambalpur 127 cases, Jagatsinghpur 123 cases, Kendrapara 121 cases, Bargarh 100 cases, Koraput 99 cases, Jharsuguda 83 cases, Bhadrak 81 cases, Kandhamal 77 cases, Bolangir, Keonjhar & Nabarangpur 73 cases each, Dhenkanal & Kalahandi 67 cases each, Sonepur 62 cases, Ganjam 58 cases, Boudh 56 cases, Nayagarh & Nuapada 54 cases each, Malkangiri 53 cases, Gajapati 25 cases, Deogarh 10 cases and 337 cases from State Pool.
In last 24 hours, 13 persons died due to COVID-19 and total death toll in the State rose to 682.
So far, 1,33,466 patients have recovered from the disease and at present, 37,140 active cases are there in the State.
