India’s COVID tally crosses 54 lakh-mark; Total death toll increases to 86,752

New Delhi: September 20: India reported 92,605 fresh coronavirus cases and with this, India’s total tally crossed 54-lakh mark to reach 54,00,620 cases. Also, 1,133 persons succumbed to COVID-19 during last 24 hours, pushing the total death toll to 86,752.

Of the total cases, 10,10,824 are still active, as per Health Ministry’s data.

In last 24 hours, 94,612 patients have recovered from the disease and total recoveries in the Country reached 43,03,043.

While the recovery rate stands at 79.68 per cent, the fatality rate has come down to 1.61 per cent, data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.

As per the information provided on Health Ministry’s Website, India conducted 12,06,806 sample tests on 19th September, taking the total samples tested so far to 6,36,61,060.

Total cases in Maharashtra increased to 11,88,015, followed by Andhra Pradesh 6,17,776 Tamilnadu 5,36,477, Karnataka 5,11,346, Uttar Pradesh 3,48,517 and Delhi 2,42,899.
