Bhubaneswar: September 20: Odisha registered highest spike of 4,330 new cases, pushing State’s total COVID toll to 1,79,880. As informed by Health & Family Welfare Department, out of 4,330 new cases, 2,556 people were in quarantine and rest 1,774 are local contact cases.
Khurda District has reported 644 new cases in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack 549 cases, Puri 292 cases, Kandhamal 178 cases, Angul 176 cases, Jagatsinghpur 167 cases, Jajpur 158 cases, Jharsuguda 153 cases, Mayurbhanj 152 cases, Nabarangpur 133 cases, Sundergarh 123 cases, Balasore 121 cases, Keonjhar 118 cases, Kendrapara & Sambalpur 107 cases each, Kalahandi 100 cases, Bargarh 99 cases, Koraput 94 cases, Rayagada 85 cases, Bolangir 79 cases, Bhadrak 74 cases, Dhenkanal 67 cases, Malkangiri 63 cases, Nuapada 62 cases, Nayagarh 53 cases, Ganjam 51 cases, Boudh 47 cases, Sonpur 25 cases, Gajapati 16 cases, Deogarh 12 cases and 225 cases in State Pool.
So far, 1,41,657 patients have recovered from the disease.
In last 24 hours, 10 persons died to the disease and total death toll in the State increased to 701.
At present, 37,469 active cases are there in Odisha.
