Bhubaneswar: August 23: Odisha registered 68 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours. Out of them, 3 are from Balasore, 1 from Bhadrak, 17 from Cuttack, 9 from Dhenkanal, 15 from Jagatsinghpur, 6 from Jajpur, 1 from Jharsuguda, 4 from Kendrapara, 1 from Kenjhar, 8 from Khurda, 2 from Puri and 1 from Rayagada.
As stated by Government, this list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
With this, total death toll in Odisha increased to 7426
So far, Khurda District recorded 1421 deaths, which is highest among districts of Odisha.
Also, as reported by Health Department, 1032 patients recovered from the disease on Monday.
With this, 986334 patients have already recovered from the disease so far.
