Cold wave to Severe Cold wave with isolated cold day conditions is very likely to continue over some districts of Odisha during next 2-3 days.
As said by IMD, Northwesterly/ northerly dry and cold wind at lower levels penetrating over Odisha and under its influence isolated cold wave to severe cold wave with isolated cold day conditions very likely over some parts of interior and coastal districts of Odisha during next 2-3 days.
Dry Weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha from 21st December to 26th December.
No large change in minimum temperature (Night temperature) during next 3 days and gradual rise by 2-3 oC thereafter, over the districts of Odisha. Minimum temperature will be below normal by 5 oC to 6oC over the districts of Interior Odisha and by 4 to 5 oC Odisha during next 3 days.
As per the forecast by IMD, Isolated Cold wave to Severe cold wave condition is very likely to prevail over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Sonepur and Boudh till 830 Hours of 22nd December. So, IMD has issued Orange Warning for those areas.
Also, Isolated Cold wave condition is very likely to prevail over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha Cuttack, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Nuapada, Kandhamal and Nawarangpur in next 24 hours.
From 22nd to 23rd December, Isolated Cold wave conditions is very likely to prevail over the districts of Angul, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Nawarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Khordha.
