BMC Decides To Cancel Khandagiri Mela This Year Too
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday decided to cancel the famous Khandagiri Mela in the Capital City this year too. This has been decided due to the existing Covid-19 restrictions.
Last year also, the fair was also cancelled on account of the pandemic situation and the construction of a road in the vicinity of the Mela venue.

Jatras performed by several groups during the Mela is likely to be called off this year as well.
Notably, Odisha today reported 4,842 fresh cases of Covid. Out of which, 1,253 cases are from Khordha District only. Also, Odisha recorded 15 deaths in 24 hours.
