Bhubaneswar: June 03: Counting of votes for Brajarajnagar Assembly Constituency in Jharsuguda district started at Jharsuguda Engineering College from 8 am on Friday. Postal ballots have been counted first and then the counting of votes from the Electronic Voting Machines has begun.
Sources said, 14 tables have been set up for counting and 3 officials have been allotted for the counting process. A counting assistant, a counting supervisor, and a micro observer have been allotted to each table. Around 60 counting personnel have been deployed for the 20-round of counting.
A total of 11 candidates are in the fray. BJD’s Alaka Mohanty, BJP’s Radharani Panda, and Congress’s Kishore Chandra Patel are fighting the battle.
BJD is way ahead of rival parties with 48428 votes, BJP 11579 and Congress 11714 votes after 10th round of counting.
