Foggy conditions likely to prevail in parts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2 : Coastal parts of the State, along with Dhenkanal, Angul and Jajpur, are likely to experience dense fog for another three days, a release issued by local met department said.

Dry weather condition is likely to prevail till December 6 in the State, the report added.

Though the intensity of cold is on the wane since the last week of December, Phubani recorded a lowest temperature of 8.5 degree Celsius on Friday. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar has recorded a highest temperature of 17.2 degree Celsius.

East Coast Railway announced cancellation of some trains due to foggy conditions in State.

Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal express which runs on Tuesday and Friday will not run from January 8 to February. Similalry, Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani express via Tata has been cancelled from January 12 to February 23. Running of Puri-New Delhi Nandankanan Express will be stopped from January 11 and till February 29, ECoR said.

The decision to cancel some other passenger trains has been taken keeping passengers’safety in view, ECoR sources said.
