New Delhi, Jan 7: The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a condolence message to his daughter, Mehbooba Mufti, President has said, “I am sad to learn about the passing away of your father, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sayeed was a colleague of long years. He distinguished himself through remarkable political acumen and vision. Throughout his life, Sayeed worked for the socio-political transformation and betterment of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his passing away, we have lost an outstanding public figure who was always in touch with the grassroots of society. Sayeed’s contribution to Jammu and Kashmir and India through long years of public service will be always remembered.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences and convey them to all other members of your family. May God give you and your family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss”.
