Jajpur: In a shocking incident, a woman killed her husband, buried the dead body in the forest and later surrendered herself in the Police Station in Jajpur district of Odisha recently. The incident took place in the Dubikhal village under Sansailo Panchayat of the district.
The woman has been identified as Dumari Mumda, daughter of Mora Deogam of Dubikhal. As per reports, a verbal dispute erupted between the wife and husband which later escalated into heated argument followed by physical assault. In this fight, the woman killed her husband.
Even after the murder, she buried his body in the forest behind the back yard of their house. Later, the woman surrendered herself at the Sukinda police station. The crime has been taken place due to family dispute. She herself informed the police about the crime.
The incident of a woman killing her husband and burying him has become a topic of discussion in the Sukinda area. The local sarpanch has also lodged a complaint at the Sukinda police station in this regard.
Sukinda police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation of the incident. The pit will be dug and the body will be taken out after the scientific team arrives today. The woman is currently in police custody.
