Aamir Khan, family owe Rs.817.95 as land rent !

Hardoi (UP), Nov 25: Actor Aamir Khan, who in his film ‘Lagaan’ had opposed land tax, has been asked to deposit Rs 817 as rent by the local administration for the agricultural land held by him and his family here.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shahabad, Ashok Shukla has directed Aamir and his family members to clear the dues.

A letter in this regard has been given to the caretaker of Aamir’s ancestral house on Tuesday.

He said Aamir and his family members have ancestral land in Akhtiyaarpur village and the ‘lagaan’ was deposited every year.
