Berhampur: Odisha vigilance has so far unearthed property, which is assumed to be worth over crore, during the ongoing search at four locations of N. Dillip Kumar Choudhury, the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Roads and Buildings (R&B) Division-I, Berhampur.
As informed by the vigilance sleuths, the following movable and immovable assets worth Crores have been unearthed so far in the name of Choudhury and his family members:
- One double storeyed building with area 2400 Sqft. at Mayuree Vihar, Berhampur.
- One 3-BHK flat vide No.301 with area 1400 Sqft. at Evos Exotica Apartment, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
- One 2-BHK flat vide No.409 with area 1000 Sqft. at Spectrum Royale, Dharma Nagar, Berhampur.
- As many as 11 plots at Berhampur and nearby areas.
- Bank & Insurance deposits worth Rs.28,53,212.
- Two two-wheelers and household articles worth over Rs 10.11 lakh.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Executive Engineer is being examined to ascertain the source of the assets. Further searches are continuing. Unearthing of more assets is likely and overall valuation is likely to increase.
On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, simultaneous house searches were conducted on the properties of N. Dillip Kumar Choudhury at following places in Bhubaneswar and Berhampur;
- One double storeyed building at Mayuree Vihar, Berhampur.
- One 3-BHK flat at Evos Exotica Apartment, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
- One 2-BHK flat at Spectrum Royale, Dharma Nagar, Berhampur.
- His office at R & B Division-I, Berhampur.
As many as four teams of Odisha Vigilance comprising 3 DSPs, 7 Inspectors, and other supporting staff conducted the search on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur. Enquiry is in progress.
