Bhubaneswar: Air operations resumed at Bhubaneswar Airport in Odisha today after 8 am. Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan informed about this.
It is to be noted that Air services had been suspended at the Bhubaneswar Airport from 5 pm yesterday due to the cyclonic storm DANA. As per the notice yesterday the Air Operations had been suspended till 9am of today. However, considering improvement in the situation, the airport authorities decided to resume the flight services from 8 am. Air services were also suspended in Kolkata due to the storm.
It is worth noting that the cyclone Dana has already made the landfall yesterday night as per the forecast. The cyclone touched the land as a severe cyclonic form. The epicenter of the storm has made landfall near Habalikhti interior nature park in in Kendrapara district. The storm made landfall between 1:30 and 3:30 in the middle of the night.
